Welcome to Mostly Twigs!
Almost all of these pictures were taken in the wild or semi wild, parks and such.Most of them were taken in Vancouver B.C. Some were from Costa Rica as well as Mexico. Most of these birds were going about their daily business and occasionally seemed curious about what the hell I was doing on their patch.
Because these shots are taken in the wild and my photography style is one of hiking, stalking etc. it's sometimes difficult (but fun) to get set up for that perfect shot. Of course serendipity comes into play and is one of the big attractions of this kind of shooting.

Orange-breasted Bunting at Barra de Navidad. these guys were hanging out in the garden at the hotel. It took a couple of days to "unspook" them enough to get in close for these shots.
